A teen jumps to death in Bengaluru

A 17-year-old Pre-University Course (PUC) student jumped from the 23rd floor of an apartment complex in southern Bengaluru. He was allegedly killed himself.

A native of Kollegal in Chamarajnagar district Anjan R was in his second year of commerce at a private college. He had reportedly sent a video to his parents before taking this extreme step. He left behind a note in which he clarified that he did not end his life because he was fat or did not do well in school.

The Konanakunte police have taken up the case of this unnatural death and they are investigating to determine the exact reason of his death.

As per the preliminary investigations, at around 3.05 a.m. on Monday he jumped from the 23rd floor of a 32-story apartment in Anjanadri Layout, Kanakapura Main Road. At the apartment building after heard a loud crashing noise the on-duty security guards rushed to find the boy lying in a pool of his blood then they called the cops.

When police arrived at the scene, they had difficulty identifying the deceased because his face had been completely smashed because of the fall. They recover a suicide note from his pocket.

He asked to everyone to forgive him. He also included his name and other information in that note such as the flat number from which he was jumped.

Police later discovered that Anjan had visited his cousin and tracked down him. They ordered food online and watched a cricket match on television. Then at midnight they went to the bed. Anjan then went to the balcony and to jump from there he used some tools to cut the mesh.

Until his first year of PUC, Anjan was a good student but then his grades dropped during his second year.
