Khoribari, 05 December: A person named Mohammad Miraj, a resident of Totaram Jot in Naxalbari has been arrested for possessing a country-made pistol near the Indo-Nepal border.
It is being told that on the basis of secret information, the SSB raided the Panitanki area on the Indo-Nepal border and arrested Miraj. Later the SSB handed him over to the Khoribari police.
The accused was produced in the Siliguri sub-divisional court on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Khoribari police have started an in-depth investigation into the incident.
