Phansidewa, Oct 07: A massive fire broke out at a private tea factory in Murliganj, Bidhannagar, Phansidewa, causing extensive damage and spreading panic in the area.
It is being said that the fire broke out on Monday afternoon and the police and fire brigade were immediately informed. Two fire engines from Matigara and Islampur and police from Bidhannagar Investigation Station reached the spot. After several hours of hard work, the fire was finally brought under control.
Many things including the factory chimney were burnt to ashes in the fire. The factory manager has said that there has been a loss of lakhs, but the cause of the fire is not yet known.
