Siliguri 07 March: The 7th Jan Aushadhi Diwas, the government’s initiative to promote generic medicines, began at the North Ektiasal Maldangi Temple area near Siliguri’s Eastern Bypass.
The programme was organised at around 10 am at the main distribution house of North Bengal and Sikkim region. Jalpaiguri MP Jayanta Roy, Dabgram-Phulbari MLA Shikha Chatterjee and other dignitaries were present at the event.
During the programme, the MP emphasised on the benefits of the project. He said that through the Jan Aushadhi project, common people are getting medicines at low prices. He also emphasised on efforts to further promote the scheme.
