The 700-year-old Mangleshwar Bhairav Temple, which lies in the centre of Srinagar city and was severely damaged by floods in 2014, is now being restored by the Jammu and Kashmir administration, according to officials. According to them, the project is planned to cost Rs. 1.62 core and was began in June 2022. It is anticipated to be finished next month. “The temple dates back about 700 years. Everyone is aware of its importance. During the floods in September 2014, it started to show some cracks. Hence, we began working on it last year as part of a plan for the revival, restoration, preservation, and upkeep of architecture and heritage.” Muhammad Aijaz Asad, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar
