24 year old Biplab Singh promotes ‘Safe Drive, Save Life’ campaign through cycling

Siliguri, May 15: Biplab Singh, a 24-year-old resident of Bankura district, has started a unique mission to promote the ‘Safe Drive, Save Life’ campaign. Biplab has undertaken a cycle tour to spread awareness about road safety not only in his home state but across the country and even internationally.
Through his journey, Biplab is educating people about the importance of using helmets, following traffic rules and driving safely. Additionally, he advocates for a drug-free society and a healthy environment.
It is noteworthy that every day many people lose their lives in road accidents across the country. To deal with this, the central and state governments are continuously running awareness campaigns.
Among these initiatives, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched the ‘Safe Drive, Save Life’ campaign in 2016. The campaign involves various programs organized by the police to educate the public about road safety.
Reportedly, Biplab had started his cycle journey about a month ago to promote the ‘Safe Drive, Save Life’ campaign. He reached Bhakti Nagar police station under Siliguri Metropolitan Police on Tuesday night, the 36th day of his tour.
After night rest, he left for Sikkim on Wednesday morning. Before this visit, Biplab has spread awareness about the campaign in Arunachal Pradesh as well as neighboring countries Nepal and Bhutan. Throughout his journey, he continued to connect with communities, spreading the important message of road safety and vigilance.
