The Center on Sunday provided ‘Y Plus’ security to 15 rebel Shiv Sena MLAs amid a review by Shiv Sena workers amid vandalism of their offices and property in the Shinde camp.
However, rebel chief Eknath Shinde was not included in the protection cowl list.
Y category security consists of 8 personnel which may include one or two commandos and policemen.
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has also been deployed at the house of Dadar MLA Sada Sarvankar after he joined Eknath Shinde and other rebel Shiv Sena MLAs in Guwahati.
Uddhav Thackeray’s supporters said those who left the party were “traitors”. “They are no longer Shiv Sainiks. We will give them shiv prasad,” alleged army personnel.
Meanwhile, police security was provided at all workplaces of Shinde camps in Thane, Dombivli, Kalyan and Ulhasnagar.
Sixteen MLAs, including minister Eknath Shinde, were served disqualification notices on Saturday for not attending the party meeting called by Uddhav Thackeray last week.
However, the Shinde-led rebel camp on Sunday sought seven days to respond to the summons.
