Police at Siliguri police station arrested a man with Rs 80 lakh. He has been passed over to the Income Tax Department for further investigations. On Sunday, the man was arrested from Jhonkar Mor. The name of the arrested is Aditya Anand. He is a resident of Begusarai in Bihar. The man was passing through jhonkar junction in Toto around 7pm yesterday. Police raided and caught the man after receiving a tip off. As soon as he conducted a search, rs 80 lakh was recovered from him in a sweet box in 2000 and 500 rupee notes. There is a ban on travelling with huge amounts of money before elections. In that case, proper documents have to be kept with you. It is learnt that income tax department officials are looking into the whole matter.
